Glow is a great Song for Sunday choice - the kind of sleepy, happy-sad song that'll have you humming along as it tells its story. Lontalius is a New Zealander who's just released his full album, "I'll Forget 17", which is well worth checking out.

Song for Sunday - 22nd May - Love School

The idea behind Song for Sunday is to bring you LGBT musicians who aren't famous and music from genres that aren't just 'mainstream pop'. So are you ready for a bit of old school rhythm and blues?

Earl Thomas is one of those people who should be way more famous that he is - I mean just listen to that voice. This track - Love School - is from his new album Crow.

The CooLots are a US queer rock/soul band. Need U Now is a bit of both but leans over to the rock side a bit more. So something a bit different for a Sunday, but welcome all the same.

Song For Sunday - 8th May - Sanctuary

Markus Feehily is the gay one from Westlife (apparently it's a rule that every boyband has to have at least one gay one). Markus has moved on to make his own solo album, which includes this track. The video - the story of a bi man struggling with his attractions - is quite powerful in places, and the song is a good pop song - who can resist a Clannad sample?

Song for Sunday - 1st May - Blue

The intricacies of relationships are a never ending source of musical inspiration - just watch Beyonce slay the whole world with her version. But here is the opposite end of that scale - a UK artist, little known, who has drawn on a break up and instead of Beyonce's fury seems to be quietly accepting as he sings 'it doesn't surprise me'.

Song For Sunday - 24th Apr - Stand By Me/You

Last month I posted a song by Eli Lieb & Steve Grand and commented on how unusual it is to see two gay men duet. Well this week's song goes one step further - a duet by two gay men who are married to each other.
Casey Breves and Sam Tsui are two YouTube based singers who've been working separately for years, and doing the occasional duet on mash-up's (you might remember their mash up of Thinking Out Loud / I'm Not The Only One as its had over 32 million views). Casey & Sam married last week and basically turned themselves into the new Sonny & Cher.

This week's song is their latest collaboration, a mash up of Stand By Me & Stand By You. It's a good choice for a spring Sunday morning.
